BURGER PLANET ADDS NEW MENU ITEMS
Jayne Petersen, health guru, endorses Burger Planet’s new menu

GARY, IN—Customers have even more menu choices when it comes to ordering food at Burger Planet. Jayne Petersen, health guru, is endorsing the new menu alongside Burger Planet’s beloved mascot, Corny the Clown. From May to July, they will travel across the country teaching people about making healthier food choices.

Petersen, President and CEO of Looking Glass, Inc., is the author of bestselling book “Looking Good in a Leotard,” and popular health expert who helped Opal Whitcomb lose 75 pounds and keep it off. Her diets allow women to eat anything, with moderation and 20 minutes of walking being the key to success.

“Burger Planet is committed to offering healthy choices on its menu. The hiring of Jayne Petersen fits perfectly in the company's overall focus on healthy lifestyles,” says James E. Muellenbach III, company CEO.

Petersen believes Burger Planets options of fruit packages, gourmet salads and white meat Chicken breasts, is what makes it such a popular Quick Service Restaurant.

“The company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier, active lifestyles and I have spent my life trying to teach women that lesson,” said Petersen in an interview.

While working with Burger Planet’s chefs, Petersen has come up with new menu ideas. Adults will soon have the option of an adult Burger Planet Smiley Meal, complete with an ankle weight, fruit package and white meat Chicken entrée.

Founded in 1934 by James E. Muellenbach I, Burger Planet has served 52 billion customers and counting. Headquartered in Gary, Indiana, there are 8,921 franchises in every state and 17 countries.

Blogging Etiquette

Whilst browsing blogs the other night, I ran into a blog post titled "e-mail etiquette." I liked it. It got me thinking about rules and etiquette of all social media outlets. Me, being the new blogger that I am, decided I needed to start somewhere, and the somewhere was here: with blogging etiquette. Enjoy.

Blogging Etiquette

Rule #1: Be nice. If you disagree with something, there is a nice way to say it. No excuses.

Rule #2: You're published once you hit the orange button labeled 'PUBLISH POST.' The Internet is your audience. If you don't want someone to read it, don't publish it. And who knows, maybe a blog post of yours will make you famous one day.

Rule #3: If you see something on someones blog that you like, CREDIT them. Don't steal others ideas without it. Rule #1, it all goes back to that.

Rule #4: Check your spelling. Dont u luv it wen things r mispeled? Yeah, me neither.

Rule #5: (from rocks in my dryer)Think twice or thrice before you delete inappropriate comments from your blog. Some of your best conversation will come from controversy.

Being a first time blogger, these helped tremendously.

Am I missing any? Comment and let me know.

2310--United Breaks Guitars

United Airlines will think twice about who they hire to handle people’s goods, after losing around $180 million in stocks, following a YouTube video that was posted by guitarist Dave Carroll.

Carroll was on tour with his band, Sons of Maxwell, when a fellow passenger witnessed his guitar getting tossed carelessly from the plane upon arriving in Nebraska. With no time to be had and droopy eyes, Carroll didn’t check his guitar until the next morning, when he came to find his $3500 710 Taylor guitar broken.

For nine months, he contacted United Airlines, was sent to Air Canada, back and forth again before finally ending up talking to Ms. Irlweg. She told Carroll he was out of luck; United would not refund his money or his time wasted on trying to resolve the matter.

Realizing he had been fighting a losing battle the whole time, Carroll thought of a new idea. He was going to write three songs about his experience flying with United Airlines, make videos for each one and then post it on YouTube for the world to see it.

Within 24-hours, Carroll’s first “United” video had gone viral, with over 24,000 views. United was not slow to contact Carroll after that. They told him they would reimburse him for his $3500, but Carroll said no. He wanted them to give the money they would have given him, to the charity of their choice. Nice guy for someone who made United lose millions in stock, right?

Without the social media of the world, Carroll would probably still be mourning over the loss of his beloved 710 Taylor guitar. There is no way without it, that over 24,000 people could view a video in such a short amount of time. But because of it, Carroll not only got sweet, sweet revenge and many laughs, but “brought people together from around the world.”

Hopefully United Airlines learned their lesson when it comes to threats concerning the media world. And maybe, just maybe, Carroll and Ms. Irlweg can sit together years down the road, and joke about what happened on that flight from Chicago to Nebraska. For now, he’ll just continue writing songs about her, and she’ll probably stay hidden under the radar for as long as possible.
